It's been awhile...and keyword targeting

It has been a looooong time since I have been able to get back to MOIS. Between the move and re-adjusting to yet another state, I have just been too exhausted. A very active toddler does not help.

But I finally went back and checked all my stats from Squidoo, the articles I have written thus far, and I have no sales. Bummer. I have though however, 2 followers on my blog! Yippee!!! This was completely unexpected since I was not sure anyone would read it. But to you 2 out there, thanks!!!

So I have no sales, and of course the MOIS program has you pushing the MOIS program. I am beginning to think of maybe switching to something else, maybe a little bit more tangible? Maybe something I KNOW people would want?

Don't get me wrong, I think MOIS is a great course, and everyone should check it out, but I am starting to wonder if everyone who might have purchased it, have already done so and I joined a little too late.

So that is my goal this weekend. I am going to do some market research, find a product, and begin marketing it. However, the techniques I have learned in "My Online Income System" will most certainly be utilized! Because, if I never stumbled across it, I am pretty sure I would be wandering pointlessly through the internet. I learned how to do market research, learn how to keyword target and a few other key elements.

Keyword targeting is great, and since I learned how to implement it, I have seen a little more consistent traffic to my sites. When you type in something to search in Google, you get a list that is returned to you. But let's say you are looking for something a little bit more specific, like purple polka dotted fuzzy slippers. You could just type in slippers, and you would get billions of results for slippers. The more you narrow the search, by adding purple, fuzzy, and the rest, you get a more specific result, and are more likely to get the results you like.

Well, I learned how to do this with MOIS. So it should work for another product, right? I'll just have to wait and see!

Webpages

I am learning that you do not need a website to start promoting MOIS, and in fact, there is one already set up that all you have to do is sign-up. Just make sure you have a Clickbank account first.

Here is the link to the site that you sign up to get a free website. Everything is set up and you do nothing but promote the site. It is a little cheesy looking, and there is nothing you can do to change it around, and you are stuck with the 3 products on the site.

Buuuut, if you pay a little bit more, you get a pre-designed site, but you can change the 3 products to suit you needs. I have not signed up for that service, as I see no need for it, and want to do this with no moeny out of pocket. It has and can be done!

All you do is put in you info where it says name and email, and a link is sent to you. Be sure it does not go to yo spam. The site will look EXACTLY like this, but the link will have your username in it so that you get credit for the sale. Like, I said, it's cheesy, but it costs absolutely nothing.

I am in the mean time am going to stick to some other techniques to use to promote, and not use the provided site. Thankfully, MOIS has showed me a lot of different non-chessy ways to do this.

For now, I am going to focus on keyword targeting and how to implent it. Sounds pretty interesting, and is an ingenoius idea. I kind of wish I was a computer geek and came up with Google myself! :-) Check out this Wiki article about keyword targeting for more info.

And if I have not stated this before, I AM NOT using GDI! I think it is a waste and it's not that great of a webste builder. Not bad for beginners, but not what I need for my plans.

Traffic increase!

I am quite pleased with the amount of traffic I was able to generate using MOIS. I did not know a singe thing about generating web traffic. After using some of the techniques I learned in the "My Online Income System" course, I see at least 10 new visits to each of my web pages. Before, I would only get one hit a month.

I guess the forums and the article writing has paid off, but I have not come close to beginning! I love how the potential is limitless and all the ideas found in MOIS. I even love the fact that you do not have to promote the products that they suggest at first. This system works with pretty much anything you can think of! Just plug in what interests you and that's it!

Well, I have at least one Squidoo lens that needs tweeked and an article that I have been trying to write all day. I love how creative I can be with this! I would most certainly reccomend this to anyone, it's that simple and awesome!

Another week of "work"

I have officially decided to drop the whole GDI thing. At first, I thought it was a good idea, but then I realized how limiting the site was. It is a good place for people just starting out with website building, not those like me, who have experience. But that's not why you are here, now are you? :)

I spent a lot more time working on the MOIS project and feel like I sped up the momentum I lost when family was here. Now that I am back on track, I am hoping to see some income soon. I am looking at a good 6 months worth of work to make some substantial cash, but it all depends on me. I NOW see how others make money online. Before it was completely a blur, and I was lost. Thank God I purchased the "My Online Income System." Otherwise, I would still be running in circles.

I tried the Squidoo thing on my own, without realizing it's potential. Hect, I did not even know how to write a keyword targeted article! But I know now! The course also shows you how to check to see what keywords are being searched for, and how many. This is so that you can use them to drive traffic to you websites. Though I am not the best at this as of yet, there have been more visits to my Squidoo sites. In fact, one of the lenses recieves most of it traffic via Google searches. How cool is that?

This is just one of the many neat little things you learn when using MOIS, but it's late and I am tired. I'm hoping to redesign my blog instead of using Blogger's standard template. But that will have to wait.....ZZZZZ

Still no success, but...

I have not had much success at this whole affiliate marketing thing, but I can honestly say I put in a good 2 and a half decent weeks since I began this well over a month ago. I have had many distractions and other issues arise, so I have not been completely and entirely faithful to my work.

I still have, however, hope. The friend I have who does this said it took months, and from all the other people who are into this say the same thing. So I'm going to give it another solid month before looking for my first sale.

Using the techniques I have learned so far, I have noticed a major increase in visits to my websites. It's not a huge number, but it most certainly more than if I never had implemented these little secrets.

I'm back at it!

Family left, and I miss them, but now it's time to get back to work!

Sadly, I made no sales while I was doing the vacationing thing, but I definitely had a good start. So right back into it!

I'm hoping to lots tomorrow, granted our lovely ISP decides to make our internet work, and that the baby gives me a 2-hour nap at some point. And it would be nice for him to be content playing on his own a couple more.

So my new goal is at least one sale in the next 2 weeks and get at least 20 articles written, and at least 4 more lenses created. Sounds doable, but I need to start like.... RIGHT NOW!

Bummer! No sale.....

I spent the better part of the past few days in forums looking for advice and help. I am even more overwhelmed that I was when I first began the course. My advice is this: Stick to one topic at a time! I've been trying to read everything all at once, but there are far too many posts and subjects in the 4 or 5 forums I have just joined. I try and read one topic, and end up in another not even closely to related to what I want help with. Stick with one topic at a time! If you don't, you will miss some important info! Of which I am doing already...oops!

I even asked others what they thought of GDI, and now I am not so sure I should be using them. Maybe I'll stick it out until I learn more or find something better. I'll try and share the links here when I do.

I did not make any sales yet, but this is partially to my family. Hubby hurt his back, so I have been doing his share of the work this past week, and I think my son got bit by the cranky bug. When did this all start? Any advice to sooth a miserable 1-year old would be appreciated! In fact, I WELCOME babysitters!

The family lands at 3:30 tomorrow, and will be here a week, so I doubt I will be able to spend much time "working" and won't have anything to post here. I am bummed I did not meet my goal for the past couple of weeks, but I did accomplish lots more.

So much to do!

I've been working on a few projects on the side in addition to reading MOIS just to help break up the monotony. I can only read and write for so long! I have been working on my website through GDI, and I am glad I kept it.

GDI is pretty simple to work with, and anyone can use it. They have site templates, builders, name serving, hosting, parking, and much more. And if you know nothing about making websites, the website buidler is pretty simple. Anyone can do it!

After you go through the MOIS, you will learn that you will need a real website(or a few!) after you get things rolling with your business. Like I said before, it's $10 a month for you first domain for everything mentioned above. You can't beat it. And I find other services are just too darn confusing.

They pitch to you to become an affiliate, but you don't have to. All you do is sign up, as if you were to become one, and just use the products they give to you. In fact, at the bottom of the sign-up form, they ask you if you want to be one or not. Use this link here to check it out/sign up. Overall, I just happy I can get a domain name of my choosing since all the good .com ones are taken up.

Lots of work to be done!

I am absolutely exhausted. There is waaaay more to this course than I could have ever imagined. I have been reading, reading, and more reading for the past couple of days. I only wrote a couple of pieces, but I can not tell you how much reading I have done.

There is so much out there to learn! MOIS points you in the right direction, and you must do with it what you will. If you are lazy, then I definitely recommend you get a real job. There is no way you will make money unless you work hard. I read so much today, I think I forgot most of it already. I will have to go back and reread and take notes.

It is safe to say now that My Online Income System most certainly surpasses my expectations!

Educate yourself!

I have to admit, there is NO way I would have been able to become an affiliate marketer without this course. I did try once, and since I was clueless, I quit. But after doing the My Online Income System program, things make more sense and I and much more able to do this!

I feel that education is key here, and it's not like you can go onto a college campus and take a course as specific as this. I know there are marketing classes, but I feel they would be too general, and cost lots of money.

Here are the top 3 internet marketing courses that you can get. There are many others, but these are the best of the best. I feel that MOIS is the better(that's why I decided to use it!), but the other 2 seem to be pretty decent, and from what I have been reading, the information differs slightly. Some just focus more on certain marketing techniques.

Anyways, I made it through half the course and have lots of work to do!!! I'll keep everyone posted!

Took a 4 day break!

I was not able to get anything done these past few days. A certain little baby boy and husband made sure to that!

But now that things are back to semi-normal, I had the chance to catch up on a few days on the My Online Income System course. It was a little more tedious this time, since the course focused on writing, which is far from my best talents.

Anyways, it does get easier in time, and I managed to pump out a few good pieces. I like how Ms. Hoffman gives you all the sites you need to accomplish goals. It feels like there is someone holding my hand the entire time!

I'm hoping to spring forward to Day 30 tomorrow. I did a sneek-peek at what's ahead and it seems pretty easy. I'm not too certain I'll make my $30 goal by the time my family arrives, due to the time constraint, and how my son's schedule is completely random, and never consistent. Anyone want to babysit?

My First Goal Using this Course

All I want to do is make $30 in the next two weeks, before my family comes to visit me. That's it. Does not seem like much, huh? But the way I see it, if I set lofty goals, then I stand a chance to be disappointed. This way, if I exceed my expectations, then I know that all this work was worth it.

Since there is so much material to digest in this course, I would be foolish to believe that I could read all 60 days of the course in a few days and make cash in a week. There is no way I could process all this and put it to good use. But with "My Online Income System," I can begin making money within the first few days and quite possibly a week.

You do not have to wait to complete the course to see your first sale! It's set up in such a way, that I can't even begin to explain. I'll try and get into further detail in another post, since I spent my day writing on other sites and just can't simply do it right now.

Oh, and I will let everyone know when my first sale comes through...

Day 20

I managed to somehow read about 3-4 eBooks, build my first lens(please check it out!) with Squidoo, and take care of the hubby and baby, all at the same time(sort of). Maybe I'm perfecting my time management skills? HA! More like I am staying up late at night...

Today was probably the most work I have done, but I am proud and excited! I am really starting to believe that this program is onto something. I just hope it works, because I have put forth a lot of time a effort this far, and I could have been doing other things. But time is money, right?

The eBooks that I was "instructed" to read contained even more information than the entire course so far. The books went into further detail about articel writing, finding the perfect keywords, and using blogs to make money. I'm pretty fortunate that I am a few steps ahead, because I tried to do something similar before, only with out any guidance. Definitely glad this program came my way! It's making what I gave up on before, easier, and quite possible!

One thing that scared me was trying to organize everything and digesting it. Just after I told my husband about all the info and my inability to process is, there is a part of the course that deals with it, and just in time! It also keeps you organized for the rest of the journey- you just have to do what Ms. Hoffman tells you to do, and you're fine.

Again, it's late and my two favorite people will be up at 6:30 AM, yay! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there, especially to my hubby(this is his very first!)!

Completed "Day 15!"

Wow...I am just blown away at all the little details when it comes to starting out as an affiliate marketer. It sounded pretty simple, but I just realized that it really isn't. As of right now, I am glad that I have purchased this course. There are a lot of additional(and free) resources that I am finding very useful.

It's pretty late now, so I'm going to retire from the MOIS course until I find some free time tomorrow....

A Few More "Days" Later...

Okay, so I was able to go through a few more days, and have now just completed Day 12 of "My Online Income System." So far, I have to say I am impressed. My first impression before I decided to purchase it, was, must be a scam! But then the friend of mine convinced me otherwise. And I am glad I did! I learned so much in the past few lessons, that I am sure I would be clueless even if I spent an entire month looking up the information on my own!

I was asked to sign up for a website, either the free or not-free one, and am now being asked to sign up for an auto-responder. The responder requires me to pay a monthly fee, and I think I will look into other services to use. Not really sure I want to be spending $20 a month, not knowing where this whole ordeal will lead me.

But back to that website. The one they suggest, is free, but you can not modify and are stuck promoting the 3 products that they have already chosen. But since I am a little more versed in the world of website building, I am going to my GDI(Global Domains International) website that I signed up for a while ago in hopes to make money promoting their products.

Well, since that fell through, I am going to use the site I have from GDI, instead of the one "My Online Income System" suggests. The only reason I kept the website is because GDI offered a lot for only $10 a month. I get a website with the domain name of my choice(if available), hosting, parking, 10 emails accounts, site builders, templates, domain forwarding, name servers, and I think there are some other things I may be missing. And even if you can't make a website, they make it totally easy to do.

When I signed up I watched a goofy little video much like the one on here. Don't bother watching it if you just want to see what GDI has to offer. I would just skip to the sign-up/more info area. And then when you get there, you will see at the bottom of sign-up form, where you can choose what you are interested in. They then taylor your account homepage to suit you. Mine has all the affiliate stuff on it, where someone who just wants the products and not promote, may not have all the sales info I see. It's not a bad service, and you have a better chance getting the domain you want with them. Oh, by the way... .ws stands for website! It took me a long time to figure it out! And I think it is even stated on GDI's site! Total blonde moment!

My First Day...

So I read the reviews and checked out some other details and decided to purchase the "My Online Income System" membership. It was supposed to be $39.95, but I was offered the system for only $17. So I thought, what could I lose? Besides, I had a friend who recommended the product, and felt that he would not lie to me- or at least I hoped not.

Day 1 was pretty short and simple, and I did the first three days worth of the work. I kind of lagged the next few days of the "course work," since my almost one year-old really does not afford me much free time(neither does the hubby or the dog, for that matter.) But so far, I am now on day 8, and have learned way more than I had originally planned. I finished the eBook, and am making progress. I'll probably have to go back and skin the eBook, but that's okay, since I'm hoping the information will stick the second time around.

I have not made any money as of today, and have signed up for the free site listed. Unfortunately, the site does not allow you to make any changes, and your stuck with promoting 3 products already given. But I figured this will just start me off, and I'll build a site on my own, later.
