6 Months Later...

So it has been a very long time since my last post, and I apologize. Things have been a little hectic from moving to 3 different states, to actually holding a job, to living back and with the in-laws.

I tried a tele-marketing job for some much needed income, and I hated it! Oh ow I wish I could really make this work at home thing work!

So I am back into this and am really going to make an good effort at it. And the cool part about coming back? MOIS updated EVERYTHING! They seem to keep everything fresh and new so that you have the best possible shot at making this work(at least I hope they do!).

Unfortunately, my Squidoo account was frozen, for whatever reason, and I have to re-do all my lenses. I will be working on that and my eZine articles this week.

It's been awhile...and keyword targeting

It has been a looooong time since I have been able to get back to MOIS. Between the move and re-adjusting to yet another state, I have just been too exhausted. A very active toddler does not help.

But I finally went back and checked all my stats from Squidoo, the articles I have written thus far, and I have no sales. Bummer. I have though however, 2 followers on my blog! Yippee!!! This was completely unexpected since I was not sure anyone would read it. But to you 2 out there, thanks!!!

So I have no sales, and of course the MOIS program has you pushing the MOIS program. I am beginning to think of maybe switching to something else, maybe a little bit more tangible? Maybe something I KNOW people would want?

Don't get me wrong, I think MOIS is a great course, and everyone should check it out, but I am starting to wonder if everyone who might have purchased it, have already done so and I joined a little too late.

So that is my goal this weekend. I am going to do some market research, find a product, and begin marketing it. However, the techniques I have learned in "My Online Income System" will most certainly be utilized! Because, if I never stumbled across it, I am pretty sure I would be wandering pointlessly through the internet. I learned how to do market research, learn how to keyword target and a few other key elements.

Keyword targeting is great, and since I learned how to implement it, I have seen a little more consistent traffic to my sites. When you type in something to search in Google, you get a list that is returned to you. But let's say you are looking for something a little bit more specific, like purple polka dotted fuzzy slippers. You could just type in slippers, and you would get billions of results for slippers. The more you narrow the search, by adding purple, fuzzy, and the rest, you get a more specific result, and are more likely to get the results you like.

Well, I learned how to do this with MOIS. So it should work for another product, right? I'll just have to wait and see!

Traffic increase!

I am quite pleased with the amount of traffic I was able to generate using MOIS. I did not know a singe thing about generating web traffic. After using some of the techniques I learned in the "My Online Income System" course, I see at least 10 new visits to each of my web pages. Before, I would only get one hit a month.

I guess the forums and the article writing has paid off, but I have not come close to beginning! I love how the potential is limitless and all the ideas found in MOIS. I even love the fact that you do not have to promote the products that they suggest at first. This system works with pretty much anything you can think of! Just plug in what interests you and that's it!

Well, I have at least one Squidoo lens that needs tweeked and an article that I have been trying to write all day. I love how creative I can be with this! I would most certainly reccomend this to anyone, it's that simple and awesome!

Still no success, but...

I have not had much success at this whole affiliate marketing thing, but I can honestly say I put in a good 2 and a half decent weeks since I began this well over a month ago. I have had many distractions and other issues arise, so I have not been completely and entirely faithful to my work.

I still have, however, hope. The friend I have who does this said it took months, and from all the other people who are into this say the same thing. So I'm going to give it another solid month before looking for my first sale.

Using the techniques I have learned so far, I have noticed a major increase in visits to my websites. It's not a huge number, but it most certainly more than if I never had implemented these little secrets.

Bummer! No sale.....

I spent the better part of the past few days in forums looking for advice and help. I am even more overwhelmed that I was when I first began the course. My advice is this: Stick to one topic at a time! I've been trying to read everything all at once, but there are far too many posts and subjects in the 4 or 5 forums I have just joined. I try and read one topic, and end up in another not even closely to related to what I want help with. Stick with one topic at a time! If you don't, you will miss some important info! Of which I am doing already...oops!

I even asked others what they thought of GDI, and now I am not so sure I should be using them. Maybe I'll stick it out until I learn more or find something better. I'll try and share the links here when I do.

I did not make any sales yet, but this is partially to my family. Hubby hurt his back, so I have been doing his share of the work this past week, and I think my son got bit by the cranky bug. When did this all start? Any advice to sooth a miserable 1-year old would be appreciated! In fact, I WELCOME babysitters!

The family lands at 3:30 tomorrow, and will be here a week, so I doubt I will be able to spend much time "working" and won't have anything to post here. I am bummed I did not meet my goal for the past couple of weeks, but I did accomplish lots more.

Oh yeah, before I forget....

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

My First Goal Using this Course

All I want to do is make $30 in the next two weeks, before my family comes to visit me. That's it. Does not seem like much, huh? But the way I see it, if I set lofty goals, then I stand a chance to be disappointed. This way, if I exceed my expectations, then I know that all this work was worth it.

Since there is so much material to digest in this course, I would be foolish to believe that I could read all 60 days of the course in a few days and make cash in a week. There is no way I could process all this and put it to good use. But with "My Online Income System," I can begin making money within the first few days and quite possibly a week.

You do not have to wait to complete the course to see your first sale! It's set up in such a way, that I can't even begin to explain. I'll try and get into further detail in another post, since I spent my day writing on other sites and just can't simply do it right now.

Oh, and I will let everyone know when my first sale comes through...
